The foam creates a blanket that suppresses oxygen on liquid fires whilst acting as a cooling and wetting agent on solid combustible materials.

What does PFAS-free and fluorine-free mean?

PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) are synthetic chemicals that persist in the environment and have raised environmental and health concerns. This extinguisher uses fluorine-free foam concentrate containing no PFAS, making it a completely environmentally friendly alternative to traditional AFFF (Aqueous Film-Forming Foam) extinguishers. The fluorine-free formulation delivers effective fire suppression performance without harmful environmental impact.

Is this extinguisher safe to use near electrical equipment?

Yes, the FX-FFF-006-DCF has passed the 35kVa dielectric test and complies with BS EN3-7:2004 Clause 9, making it safe for inadvertent use on live electrical equipment up to 1000V.
