The Superior product line is developed specifically for professional installation projects. Only accredited Ajax Systems partners can sell, install, and administer Superior products. Superior, Fibra, and Baseline product lines are mutually compatible, offering flexibility for building systems of any configuration.

What authentication methods does the KeyPad Plus Jeweller support?

The keypad supports multiple authentication methods: access codes (4-6 digits), Ajax Pass cards, Ajax Tag key fobs, and third-party cards/key fobs using DESFire® technology. Users can control security modes with codes, cards/tags, or a combination of both methods.

What is the difference between the Baseline and Superior KeyPad Plus Jeweller?

The Superior KeyPad Plus Jeweller features auto-wake on entry delays (automatically activating when delay countdown begins), enhanced battery life, and is available only through accredited Ajax partners. The Baseline version does not support auto-wake, has standard battery life, and is available to all PROs.

How many Pass cards and Tag key fobs can I connect?

The number depends on your hub model: Hub Plus supports 99 devices, Hub 2 supports 50 devices, Hub 2 Plus supports 200 devices, and Superior Hub Hybrid (2G)/(4G) supports 50 devices. Connected passes and tags do not affect the total device limit on the hub.

What is a duress code?

A duress code is a special code that allows you to simulate alarm deactivation during a threatening situation. When entered, the Ajax app and sirens will not reveal your actions, but the security company and other system users will receive a silent alarm notification about the incident.

What happens if I enter the wrong code multiple times?

If an incorrect code is entered three times within one minute, the keypad automatically locks for a duration specified in settings (3 to 180 minutes). During this time, code entry is disabled, but a user or PRO with administrator rights can unlock the keypad remotely through the Ajax app. Notifications are sent to users and monitoring stations.

What is the Easy Armed Mode Change feature?

This feature allows users to arm or disarm the system using access devices (Pass/Tag) or codes without pressing confirmation buttons on the keypad. Three options are available: Off (requires confirmation), Arm/disarm using access device without confirming action by buttons, and Disarm without disarming button (requires fixed passcode length configured in hub settings).

Can I use the keypad with third-party security systems?

No, the Superior KeyPad Plus Jeweller is only compatible with Ajax hubs and cannot be used with Hub or third-party security control panels. For third-party integration, consider other Ajax keypad models that support uartBridge or ocBridge Plus integration modules.

What is the Function button used for?

The Function button (asterisk button) can operate in three modes: Off (disabled), Alarm (sends panic alarm to monitoring station and users), or Mute Interconnected Fire Detectors Alarm (silences Ajax fire detector alarms). The mute function is only available when Interconnected Fire Detectors Alarm is enabled in hub settings.

How long does the battery last?

With pre-installed AA batteries, the keypad operates for up to 4.5 years under normal usage conditions (approximately one arming and disarming per day). More frequent use will reduce battery life. The system provides low battery notifications, and the keypad can work for up to 2 months after the notification.

What is auto-wake on delay when entering?

This feature automatically activates the keypad when the Delay When Entering countdown begins after a security device is triggered. Instead of manually swiping to wake the keypad, it activates automatically, allowing immediate code entry. This feature requires Superior KeyPad Plus Jeweller with firmware 5.60.6.3 or higher and hubs with OS Malevich 2.18 or higher.

Can I assign the keypad to specific security groups?

Yes, when group mode is enabled, you can assign the keypad to manage all groups or a specific group. The keypad will only control security modes for the assigned group(s). If the Followed Group feature is configured, groups can automatically change security states based on their settings and initiator states.

What are keypad access codes and RRU codes?

Keypad access codes allow security control for people not registered in the system (like cleaning staff or contractors), with events logged under the code name. RRU (Rapid Response Unit) codes are temporary access codes activated after alarms and valid for a specified period, allowing security personnel to access the facility. The number of access and RRU codes depends on the hub model.

How do I know if my command was successful?

The keypad provides multiple forms of feedback: the current security mode LED lights up, audible beeps confirm actions (short beep for armed, two short beeps for disarmed), and the LED blinks to confirm button presses. Long beeps and blinking indicate errors such as incorrect codes or inability to change security mode.
