How does the over door indicator operate when an alarm is activated?

When the alarm is activated, the over door indicator will flash blue and play an alarm tone. Once the alarm is acknowledged by pressing a cancel button, the indication changes to solid blue and the sounder emits a pair of beeps every 15 seconds to confirm help is on the way.

Where should the over door indicator be mounted?

The over door indicator should be mounted above the door on the corridor side in accordance with Building Regulations Document M (Access for the Disabled) and BS 8300-2:2018 requirements. This ensures maximum visibility for staff and emergency responders in the corridor.

How many over door indicators can be connected on a single line?

There is a maximum of 3 over door and cancel plates that can be installed on a single line. The system is designed so that the last operated device will register, allowing for identification of the specific activation point when multiple devices are installed.

What cable types are compatible with the ViAC-ODP-W?
