Pull cords should be installed by the bed so they can be operated from the bed and from an adjacent floor area. In toilet areas, the pull cord should be positioned behind the handrail, level with the front of the toilet, with the bottom ring 100mm from the floor. In shower areas, they should be accessible from the shower position.

How does the pull cord provide confirmation when activated?

When the cord is pulled, the unit immediately illuminates with a blue indicator and sounds an audible tone to confirm the alarm state. This gives the user immediate feedback that their emergency call has been successfully activated and help is being summoned.
