Where should the outstation be installed?

The outstation should be installed in disabled refuge areas, which are usually located in protected stairwells or stair lobbies. The unit must be mounted at a height of 900mm to 1200mm from the centre line to the finished floor level to comply with BS 5839-9:2021 requirements.

How does the outstation work?

Operation is simple and uses a single call/cancel button. Pressing the button once activates the call, and a second press cancels the call. The device features a green flashing button to aid location and a red status LED in the call button to indicate when it’s in use.
