Built around the Ajax Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller control panel, the kit includes everything needed to protect both the interior and perimeter of a property straight out of the box, with no wiring required. All components communicate wirelessly via Ajax’s proprietary Jeweller radio protocol, offering encrypted two-way communication and a range of up to 2,000 metres in open space.
The kit includes two MotionProtect U Jeweller passive infrared detectors for interior coverage, one DoorProtect U Jeweller magnetic opening detector for doors or windows, two SpaceControl Jeweller keyfobs for convenient arming and disarming, a HomeSiren U Jeweller indoor siren, and a StreetSiren DoubleDeck Jeweller outdoor siren. Together, these components provide layered protection from the perimeter inwards, with both indoor and outdoor alert capabilities.

The system is managed entirely through the Ajax app for iOS and Android, allowing remote arming, disarming, event monitoring, and configuration from anywhere. How is the system managed and controlled?
The system is managed via the Ajax app, available for iOS and Android. Installers and security companies can use the Ajax PRO app or Ajax PRO Desktop for advanced configuration. The SpaceControl keyfobs included in this kit also allow quick arming, disarming, and night mode selection from the keyring, without needing a smartphone.
What happens if the broadband connection fails?
The Hub 2 (2G) automatically switches between Ethernet and cellular (2G/3G) connections. If the primary Ethernet connection is lost, the hub fails over to the SIM card connection instantly, ensuring the system remains communicating with the ARC and app users at all times.
Can I expand the system beyond the devices in the kit?
Yes. The Hub 2 (2G) supports up to 100 wireless Ajax devices, including additional motion detectors, door contacts, smoke detectors, flood detectors, keypads, range extenders, and more. The system can be expanded over time by adding compatible Ajax Jeweller devices through the app.
How long do the batteries last?
All wireless devices in this kit are rated for up to 5 years of battery life under normal operating conditions. Battery status is monitored continuously by the hub and reported in the Ajax app, with advance low-battery notifications sent to users and installers.
Is this kit suitable for outdoor use?
The StreetSiren DoubleDeck Jeweller outdoor siren is rated IP54 and designed for external installation. The remaining devices — including the hub, motion detectors, door detector, and indoor siren — are designed for indoor use only. The Hub 2 (2G) should be installed in a secure, sheltered indoor location.
